Holden Captiva 2007 Missing Transponder

G’day mates! Today’s tale involves a Holden Captiva that decided to play hard-to-get and wouldn’t start.

First off, the culprit was the missing transponder chip in the key. Now, here’s a cheeky little quirk with these vehicles: you’ve got to program two chips into the system to wrap up the programming mode. No worries though, I whipped up two Super Chips and formatted them to GM Circle+ ID46. These Super Chips are little legends—they can be re-written, so the second transponder can go back on the shelf, erased and ready for the next adventure.

Using the trusty Autel IM608, programming the keys was a breeze, though we did have to sit tight for a 12-minute wait. Just enough time to brew a cuppa and have a yarn!

So there you have it—another day, another Holden back on the road, all in good Aussie spirit.
